The infinite lives of fabrics, a philosophy of recovery
When an idea comes along and turns everything upside down, it simply means that the idea is the right one.
This is how Labolsina was born, thanks to a warehouse with sixty thousand meters of fabrics, the inspiration of the Barcelona sun and a family trade. The philosophy of this idea is to recover the fabrics, transform them by giving them a new life. Margherita Vaghi is the creator of this new world.
A past as art director and the continuous creative approach combined with the legacy of Vittorio Vaghi affectionately known as "Ciuffo" are the trump cards of this project. For forty years, Vittorio's hands have been woven with fabrics of all kinds. His character and charisma, together with his marked sensitivity have brought him closer to the textile world, fueling a professionalism and passion for more than 40 years. He has furnished luxury hotels throughout Italy, enhanced by his taste and his ability to combine fabrics and colors.
When the time came, it left room for the new generations, and Maggie, who for years breathed the family trade, without saying anything and despite having chosen her own path, returned to that warehouse where she had so often climbed onto the shelves to make come up with your idea.
The most versatile textile recovery ever seen, in addition to Labolsina, Labolsina Home and many other projects are also born. The fabrics chosen one day by Vittorio return to the hands of Maggie who transforms them into bags but also cushions and poufs. His job is to recover in order to reduce waste by generating a series of 100% Italian handcrafted products, an idea he supports the Made in Italy.
Thanks to his creativity, today fabrics have a second life but above all, every single project makes his dad proud and honors a sentence of few words repeated by him many times, "I don't have to explain things to you, you're smart enough to understand for yourself".
Thanks Victor, you were right.
